Position:
Newswires seeks a reporter for the Hungary bureau, based in Budapest. Duties include reporting on one of Eastern Europe's most important economies, generating market-moving scoops and analysis. The successful candidate will report on the local currency, bond and equity markets, conducting regular interviews with central bank officials and other policy makers with a focus on the highly liquid bond market which is of key interest to many international investors.
Position Requirements:
The applicant must have the ability to work in a fast-moving, sometimes stressful environment with extremely tight deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, problem solving and an excellent command of written and spoken English are a must. Fluency in Hungarian is required. Candidates should have previous reporting experience at a news wire, newspaper or magazine.
