However, in most cases, extracted raw materials are repurposed as filler in road construction projects. Actual recycling happens only to a small extent, resulting in very weak circularity and a continued high demand for primary materials. The presentation will review the factors hindering the recycling and market placement of secondary materials derived from construction and demolition waste, as well as examine the recycling potential of different fractions.
