Michael Buhl

Since 2005, Michael Buhl is CEO of Wiener Börse AG and is responsible for strategic development, indices and product innovations, market surveillance, listings and IT.
Following Wiener Börse’s acquisition of majority stakes in the Budapest Stock Exchange in 2005 and the Pra-gue Stock Exchange in 2008, Michael Buhl is also Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Budapest Stock Exchange as well as Vice-Chairman of the Exchange Chamber of the Prague Stock Exchange.
Prior to joining Wiener Börse, Michael Buhl was a Managing Director and Global Head of Investment Banking at Erste Bank, Managing Director and Head of Securities at CAIB Investment Bank and the Creditanstalt Group. He started his professional career with Creditanstalt as a project manager for the setup of derivatives trading in Austria.
