Graduate of European University Viadrina in Frankfurt/O (Business Administration), PhD in Economics (University of Vienna), Habilitation in Finance (Poznań University of Economics). Completed doctoral studies in finance at the Center for Central European Financial Markets - CCEFM of the University of Economics in Vienna and the University of Vienna. Associate professor in the Social and Regional Policy Department of the IAFE-NRI and at Social-Economic Faculty of Warsaw School of Economics – SGH. Visiting scholar at the School of Economics and Finance Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand) and Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation (Moscow). Main scientific interest: Institutional and infrastructural aspects of sustainable rural development, instruments promoting entrepreneurship in rural areas, assessment of the effectiveness and efficiency of the EU financial instruments supporting enterprises in the rural areas, quantitative analysis, financial institutions support of the regional development
