Dr. Marco Wagner

Dr Marco Wagner has been a Senior Economist in the Economics Department of Commerzbank since 2012 and analyses the economic situation and policy of the largest euro zone countries, including Germany. From 2009 to 2011 Wagner worked for the German Council of Economic Experts as a consultant for financial markets and banking regulation. In the five years prior to this, he taught economics as a research assistant at the University of Bayreuth and received his doctorate degree 2010. During this time, Wagner was a visiting researcher at the University of Sydney (Australia) and Massey University (New Zealand). He studied economics between 1998 and 2003 at the Universities of Bayreuth and Regensburg and graduated with a degree in economics.
