Christian Pedak

Christian Pedak (45) was born in Linz. He studied law at the University of Vienna and the University of Southern California and finance at the London School of Economics. He got in touch with the insurance industry at a very early stage of his career working as broker in the second generation family owned broker house from 2004 onwards. Since his early days he gained reputation for being Austria’s top leading InsurTECH expert by implementing successful B2B2C insurances programs together with affiliate partners. As core UPS these programs are embedded horizontally within the partners ecosystem and are now operational in 7 European markets, such as Austria, Bulgaria and Slovenia. In 2015 he founded the insurance start-up “LAMIE direkt”, which has became one of Europe’s few digital full-stack InsurTECHs operating in more than 10 countries with a total active customer base of more than 400.000 customers.
