Antonio di Marzo

Antonio Di Marzo has a degree in Electronic Engineering and started his career in Assicurazioni Generali in 2008, first as Underwriter of Corporate & Commercial risks in Rome and London. In 2013 he joined the Operations & IT unit of Global Corporate & Commercial Head Office in Milan with a responsibility foe for the development of IT platforms dedicated to the management of Multinational Insurance Programs (MP), and for the MP Operating Model transformation in Italy, France and Hong Kong. He was introduced to the Bitcoin and Blockchain world in 2012, during one of the first Bitcoin Conferences, and since then he has been following its rallies and transformation into the crypto revolution of the latest years. Passionate about the decentralization concept, and distributed consensus algorithms, he strongly believes that the Distributed Ledger Technology, will very soon consolidate and become a reality for the enterprise environment and the driver for and integrated, frictionless financial ecosystem. Antonio is the lead representative of Assicurazioni Generali SpA in the Blockchain Insurance Industry Initiative, B3i. Antonio is an open water swimmer, happily married and dad of a wonderful kid who already loves to play with cryptocurrencies.
