Simó György

György Simó is the founding partner of Day One Capital a Budapest based venture capital firm investing across Central Eastern Europe. György started his career as a journalist and joined the Magyar Telekom Group in 1998 where he led the establishment of Hungary’s market leader Internet portal [origo]. From 2003 György was the CEO of T-Online Hungary and held executive positions at Magyar Telekom where he was responsible for new media company acquisitions, new business development in media, e-commerce and data management services lines and the establishment of the company’s innovation center, Kitchen Budapest.  From 2008 he was COO of the Alternative Businesses and Corporate Development Business Unit of the leading Hungarian telecommunications company where he gained solid expertise in supporting entrepreneurs to build and grow their businesses.
