He was born in 1979. He studied at the Budapest University of Economics and Public Administration and at Otago University in New Zealand. He received his master's degree from the Central European University. He began working at Citibank as a financial controller, project coordinator and risk management portfolio manager. Since 2008 he has been working at the National Bank of Hungary in the field of financial analysis. Since 2014, he has been director of Monetary Policy and Money Market Analysis, which – together with the International Monetary Policy and Economic Sciences Education Directorate - he has been overseeing as Executive Director since 2021. The tasks of the areas he leads are to support the decision-making of the monetary policy strategy, to analyse the latest macrofinance developments in the financial market and the Hungarian economy, and to channel economic knowledge into educational programmes. During his career, he worked in research at the Basel-based Bank for International Set-tlements. In addition, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Budapest Stock Exchange since 2014, and of the KELER Zrt. since 2020.
