Roland is an SME Ecosystem Manager deployed by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), who is responsible for developing the SME awareness strategy of the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office (SZTNH / HIPO). Roland earned his Master's degree in BioEntrepreneurship at Karolinska Institutet in Sweden, and completed his thesis in South Korea. For the past 6 years, he has been an expert evaluator in the funding programs of the European Innovation Council (EIC) and then as a specialist mentor, helping early phase deeptech innovations reach the market. In recent years, as a member of the SZTNH, he is tasked with building the Office's SME outreach strategy, combining his economic experience gained in previous technological programs. With his professional presentations and university lectures, Rolands aims to deliver the main message that every SME has innovative elements in their business that can be protected in many ways, and protection can bring serious economic benefits for our company.
