My name is Izabella Szoboszlai. I graduated from the Faculty of Economics of the Budapest University of Economics in 1997, majoring in public service. In 2004, I graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Eötvös Loránd University, and in 2020 I completed the training of a digital economic lawyer LL.M at the Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary.
I started my career in September 1998 at the Competition Policy Office of the Hungarian Competition Authority, and then I had opportunities to try myself in several organizational units of the Authority and in various positions. From 2012 to the end of February 2025, I was a member of the Competition Council of the Hungarian Competition Authority, primarily dealing with consumer protection matters. I made over 150 final decisions in this area as a rapporteur and was a member of the competition council in at least twice as many consumer protection cases
