Áron Szilágyi is a three-time Olympic, three-time World and three-time European champion Hungarian sabre fencer. Competitor of Vasas SC and president of the Fencing Department. The last time he won the world title again was at the 2023, World Championships in Milan with the sword team of Szilágyi, Decsi, Szatmári, Gémesi, after 2007. Besides his success as a sportsman, he has several degrees, such as international relations and psychology. Since he believes in the importance of talent care, he participates in several programmes as an act of social responsibility. As a young talent, he benefited from the programme of MOL. In 2021, he accepted to become a goodwill ambassador of the National Talent Programme. Member of the Athletes' Committee of the Hungarian Olympic Committee. In 2022, he co-founded and became the social Chairman of the Hungarian Elite Athletes' Interest Protection Forum, a social organisation dedicated to improving and representing the opportunities of athletes in a holistic way. His four-year preparation for the Tokyo Olympics was the subject of a film called "One for All", which was selected as the best European sports documentary by AIPS.
