Livia Judith Szabo is a leading figure in the revolution of financial innovation and payment systems. Following the turn of the millennium, as Regional Vice President of MasterCard and head of the global product development team, she significantly influenced the financial sector with innovative products in Central and Eastern Europe. After three successful years, she joined OTP Bank, demonstrating her expertise during major acquisitions, technological breakthroughs, and regulatory changes.
A highlight of her career was in 2007 when she was appointed CEO of Giro Zrt. (now Nexi). In 2009, she moved to the United States, where she worked at the FED, contributing to the establishment of the instant payment system (FedNow) Additionally, in Southern California, she took the board position of the Airspeed Equity Private Equity firm and became recognized as an angel investor in South California. With Moshulu, founded in 2014, her team helps hundreds of European startups enter the US market annually. Recently, she relocated the company's headquarters to Hungary but continues to work mainly with startups in the US market, focusing on agricultural, AI,fintech, medtech, and technology companies. Furthermore, as a partner, she participated in the development of The Digital Dollar Project, enhancing her professional contributions to innovation and digital payment systems, particularly in the CBDC area. Currently, she acts as a strategic advisor and mentor for medium and large enterprises and supports numerous non-profit initiatives with her commitment. Since 2015, she has been the President of the American-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce in California and Nevada, fostering economic relations between the United States and Hungary.
