Tamás Solt

Tamás Solt was born in 1963, having fulfilled his basic and middle level schools in Szombathely. He holds a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Szent István University at Hungary. He began his career at General Motors’ Szentgotthard plant in 1991 in Personnel department, where he had several jobs, while in 1997 he became manager of that functional area. From 2001 for four years long he had leading functions in production area in the Allison transmission unit, while from 2005 he became manager of Plant Services department. Tamás Solt also had the opportunity to collect international experience from July 2007 at the central Product Engineering organization of the company in Rüsselsheim, Germany where he led new product programs related activities. Returning back from his Rüsselsheim assignment, he was appointed to Plant Manager of the Szentgotthard Plant on 2010 January. From 2010 November on the top of his Plant Manager role, as Launch Director he leaded the company’s new Flex Plant project as well. From 2014 when the daily production have started in the new plant, he is Managing Director of Opel Szentgotthard Ltd.
