Lock joined Clifford Chance in 1987 and, having spent 5 years in the firm's London office, moved to Hungary in 1992. He heads the firm's Corporate and Capital Markets Practice in Hungary and represents Clifford Chance's C&EE Corporate Practice in the firm's Corporate Leadership Group. Richard focuses on mergers & acquisitions and has been involved in many of the major privatisation and post privatisation transactions of the recent years, and has particular experience in public company take-overs and financial services sector M&A (working for clients such as ABN AMRO, KBC, Budapest Bank, Citibank, UBS, ING, Borsodchem, APV Rt., Warburg Pincus, Deutsche Telekom, Mondi). Richard has an MA from Oxford University.
