With over 20-years of experience in neuromorphic, bio-inspired and embedded vision system design, I am the strategic lead of Verizon' Computer Vision Center of Excellence in HU/EU responsible for advanced video and sensor fusion based data analytics development in several vertical product and service areas (focusing on Enterprise, Automotive and Transportation product domains).
As Vice President of R&D at AnaLogic Computers, I led a single-chip sensor-processor product development (neuromorphic vision sensors integrating functions from sensing to detection for high-speed industrial process control). In my subsequent role as Chief Technology Officer of Eutecus, Inc., I defined the course of technology and embedded vision system development, bringing analytics to the edge of an IP camera network. As CEO and President of Eutecus, I managed a strategic transition toward embedded vision IP product development for both the industrial and automotive IoT markets worldwide and a successful merger with Sensity Systems Inc (where I served as Vice President of Vision Systems & Advanced Analytics) and sale to Verizon Communications.
I am a computer vision expert with a PhD in electrical and neuromorphic engineering with international research background (Budapest University of Technology and Economics, University of Tokushima and University of California at Berkeley), worked and taught in several countries including the EU, Japan and the USA. I also hold an Assoc Professor title at PPCU Budapest Hungary/EU and Politecnico Torino Italy/EU.
