Mihály Szalontay

Mihály Szalontay is a Managing Partner of Buran Venture Capital (“Buran”) and a Board member of several companies from Buran’s portfolio. Buran is focusing on growth and early stage companies in CEE, CIS, Israel and Turkey. Since its foundation in 2012, Buran raised ca. US$50m AUM and invested in 9 companies. Mihaly has an extensive knowledge of cross boarder M&A transactions as an investment banker and a private equity professional. His prior experience includes an Investment Director position at Elbrus Capital, a top-3 Russian private equity firm, and a Vice-President position at Renaissance Capital, Russian’s leading independent investment bank. Mihaly has a BA degree in Economics from the Moscow State University for International Relations (MGIMO).
