Mary Alcantara

Mary Alcantara is a dual US-Hungarian citizen with extensive experience in North America and Europe. She is a founding partner of tandemLEAP, a business management company with offices in Budapest and New York City. Mary is a key player in the international startup ecosystem and has consulted and mentored for many leading incubation and accelerator programs, including Alchemist Accelerator (Silicon Valley), Summerside Xchange (Prince Edward Island), and MKB Fintechlab (Budapest, Hungary). Mary is a founding member of the Hungarian Business Angel Network and is currently serving as Accelerator-in-Residence at INPUT, a Hungarian government program that supports startups with international market expansion. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Harvard University and her MBA from Central European University.   Mary is also the host of 2 podcasts - Untold Stories, showcasing founder successes in the CEE region, and Beyond Fintech, covering the latest trends in banking and beyond with international guests. A seasoned public speaker, she is often invited to give talks on her work at regional and international conferences, and enjoys supporting startups with pitch coaching and mentoring.
