Péter Luczay is ALTEO Group’s Deputy CEO for Production Management and Business Development. During his more than two decades spent in the energy sector, he has gained extensive experience in business development, energy trading, portfolio management, as well as the design, implementation and optimization of energy systems. He received his MSc in Engineering and MA in Engineering Economics from the University of Miskolc and his MBA from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and he also holds the title of Project Management Professional (PMP)®, and a D.P. H and Risk Management certificate. He has been at ALTEO since 2012, where he has been involved in a multitude of innovative development projects. He helped set up the Company’s virtual power plant system integrating natural-gas-fired power plants, Hungary's first grid electricity storage facility of substantial size, and - also for the first time in Hungary - an aFRR-capable control center integrating purely renewable energy producers. Since 2020, he has been serving as Deputy CEO for Production Management and Business Development, directing the Company's power plant investment projects, its business, product and software development activities, as well as the management of the production portfolio, which is a key part of the Hungarian electricity sector. Together with the organizations he leads, they are responsible for the development and day-to-day operational and strategic governance of a more than 2GW mixed-production management platform integrating natural gas, solar, wind, hydro and biogas power plants and energy storage facilities.
