Jan Osenberg

As Senior Policy Advisor, Jan is responsible for our work on rooftop solar, prosumers, and digitalisation. He coordinates the Buildings & Prosumers Workstream, working on energy sharing, the integration of solar with heat pumps and EVs, fire safety and regulatory frameworks for grid injection and self-consumption. With the Digitalisation Workstream, he focuses on cybersecurity and data management to integrate solar in flexible grids. In the past, he has worked as a project manager on a project on European citizen participation with Pulse of Europe. He holds a bachelor’s in Energy Engineering from the Technical University of Munich and a master’s in Sociology – European societies from FU Berlin. He speaks English, German and is proficient in French.
