Gábor Gion is the Minister of State for Financial Policy Affairs at the Hungarian Ministry of Finance, since November 2018. He started his career at Arthur Andersen Hungary in 1992 as an auditor. In 2002 he became a senior manager at Ernst & Young. In 2004 he became partner at Deloitte Hungary. He was the leader of the audit and risk advisory service line of Deloitte Hungary between 2007 and 2011. In 2009 he became the Chairman and CEO of Deloitte Hungary. He led the Hungarian practice for 8 years. He was responsible for the government relations of Deloitte Hungary since 2009. Between 2011 and 2018 he managed Deloitte's service line focusing on Chinese companies as the leader of the EMEA region (Europe, the Middle East and Africa). He studied at Eötvös Lóránd University, where he graduated as a mathematician. He speaks English, Croatian and Serbian at a negotiation level.
