Dr. Gabor Magyar is Head of Department of Budapest University of Technology and Economincs (BME) Department of Telecommunications and Media Informatics (TMIT). President of Scientific Association for Infocommunications (HTE), also president of Inter-university Association for Telecommunications and Informatics (ETIK) and Hungarian Oracle User Group (HOUG). Management Member of Hungarian Mobility Platform (scientific forum for connected, automated vehicles and traffic systems), Head of Data Management Working Group there. He has developed several university courses, has played central role in the development of educational programs at BME and has led several R&D&I projects in infocommunications and data science. Served as the Director of Stategic Affaires in BME. Worked in the National Council for Telecommunications and Informatics to the Hungarian Government. Ha was the ministerial commissioner for European Institute of Technology and Innovation in Budapest. Served as Chair or Member of several R&D Program bodies in the EU and the USA. His professional field is data science (data management and analytics).
