Gábor Király is partner in Dentons’ Budapest office, member of the Banking and Finance practice group. Gábor is a senior Hungarian law qualified banking and finance lawyer, with more than 25 years of experience gained from working on matters in Hungary and across the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and Southeastern Europe (SEE) regions. Gábor has unique experience and insight, having worked at the Central Bank of Hungary during the country’s transition to a market-based economy, and thereafter having undertaken a private practice role as a partner in a top-ranked international law firm followed by a general counsel role at one of Hungary’s largest banks, and was lately a director at the largest Hungarian independent private equity firm, where Gábor has gained in-depth understanding of the banking and technology markets from regulatory, brand, financing and investment angles. His experience includes acting for governmental agencies, lenders, borrowers and sponsors. He has advised on debt and equity transactions across multiple jurisdictions and has provided general advice on a wide range of banking, project finance, regulatory and derivative/treasury matters. Gábor has also been involved in a large number of distressed debt related transactions. He has experience in working across a number of business sectors, including telecommunications, energy, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas (including petrochemicals), infrastructure, real estate, hotels and leisure.
