István Fetter

István obtained his first master's degree in finance at Corvinus University, while his second international master's qualification was in international management at the Community of European Management Schools (CEMS), during which he studied in the USA, and in Germany, too. He speaks English, German and Spanish. He started his banking career at Eximbank in the field of investment and project finance (post-financing), after which he moved to the area of pre-financing and guarantees. In 2012 he joined the Trade Finance team of Raiffeisen Bank, where he was also responsible for establishing cooperation with EXIM, conducting refinanced transactions and product development. From April 2014, he was the head of CIB Bank's Trade Financing, Municipal and EU Services business unit, where he was responsible for financing local governments, structured trade financing, documentary finance sales, EU-related financial products, and support for the sale of EXIM solutions. Since 2017, István has led the Small Business Division at CIB Bank, managing a portfolio of over 55,000 clients. Under his leadership, the division’s revenue and the loan-leasing portfolio has both expanded by more than 300%. Additionally, since 2018, he has served as a board member of CIB Leasing Zrt. and CIB Rent Zrt. Alongside his leadership role, István teaches both in Hungarian and in English at Óbuda University, Edutus and Metropolitan offering courses to undergraduate and graduate students. He is also committed to advancing a risk-aware and entrepreneur-friendly financial culture through his lectures and publications.
