Evan Lazar

Evan Z. Lazar is Co-Chairman of the Global Real Estate Group at Dentons. He also is the Chairman of the Board of the Europe region of Dentons and is a Member of the Global Board. Evan is widely recognized as one of the leading real estate and property finance lawyers in Europe. His extensive experience in all areas of cross-border property and finance transactions has placed him at the forefront of many of the region's most important property and finance deals, including major retail, hotel, office, logistics and residential developments, financings and institutional investments. Evan acts for numerous leading institutional clients, including AIG Global Real Estate, Blackstone, Deutsche Pfandbriefbank, GE Real Estate, Heitman International, Morgan Stanley, and Starwood Capital Group. He is in the top tier group of attorneys specializing in cross-border and emerging markets property and finance matters. Evan served as the Co-Chair of Salans’ Global Real Estate Group for 10 years before Dentons was founded. Prior to that, he was the founder of the Central European Real Estate Practice at Weil, Gotshal & Manges and later Co-Chairman of their European Property and Finance Group. Before moving to Europe in 1993, Evan was a real estate lawyer in Philadelphia with Wolf, Block, Schorr & Solis-Cohen LLP.
