Eszter Gárgyán

Eszter Gárgyán is an FX strategist based in Munich, working in the UniCredit Strategy Research team. Her focus is CEE economies and currencies. Prior to joining UniCredit in September 2023, Eszter worked at Citigroup in Budapest as Chief Economist for Hungary, in close cooperation with the Citi EM Economic Research. She started her career in the research department of OTP Bank, covering Hungary and Eastern Europe. She was awarded best Hungary macro forecaster by FocusEconomics in 2019 and 2021. She holds an MSc in Economics and Finance and is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charterholder.
