Dr. Péter Földesi is rector and professor of the Széchenyi István University in Győr, Head of the Department of Logistics and Transport. He obtained his degree from the Faculty of Transport Engineering of BME in 1986; he has been living and working in Győr since 1995. The focus of his scientific research is on the optimization of logistics processes, with which he garnered international success. Scientific work, fields of research: Statistical systems identification in modeling logistics systems; Economic efficiency surveys, problems of stocking; Operation research, stochastic and fuzzy programming; Quality management in traffic; Artificial intelligences, heuristic models, evolution algorithms, and their logistics applications. He is a base members of the Multidisciplinary Technical Studies PhD School. He is a member of the Transport Studies Association, and the Inter-Department Logistics Committee of MTA.
