Dr Tibor Pehl graduated with a MSc as a Mechanical Engineer in 1988 at the University of Miskolc. Later he also obtained post-graduate MSc’s as an Economic Engineer at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics and as a Marketing Manager at the Corvinus University of Budapest. He went on to receive his University Doctorate in Project Management. In his thesis he dealt with resource allocation methods and algorithms.
He began his career as a lecturer at the University of Miskolc following his studies. From 1994 to 1998 he was the Quality Manager of Electrolux-Lehel. Later he continued as Production Manager, responsible for the European Division of chest freezer unit production. In 1998, working for Remy Automotive, he was in charge of setting up the remanufacturing plant for electric starters and alternators, and later became the Managing Director, and in 2005 he took over as the European Operations Vice President. In 2011 he joined Alcoa (today Arconic) as the Plant Manager of the Global Flat Rolled Products business unit in Hungary.
