dr. Judit Firniksz PhD, LL.M, MSc

Judit Firniksz graduated from Budapest University of Economics and the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of Eötvös Loránd University. She obtained her PhD at Pázmány Péter Catholic University and now at the Research Centre for Competition Law she concentrates on the regulatory and competition law issues in digital markets. Her main interest is in the area of digital compliance, the compliance issues faced by digital companies, and she acts as a scientific advisor on legal and regulatory issues in this area. Previously, from 2006 to 2021, she headed the competition law practice group at PwCLegal - Réti, Várszegi & Partners and participated in PwC's sectoral regulatory groups. Between 1998 and 2006, she began her professional career at the Competition Policy Office of the Hungarian Competition Authority, and later, she played a key role in establishing the Consumer Protection Office and became its first head. Currently, she serves as a board member of the Hungarian Competition Law Association and leads the Digital Markets Working Group. He teaches undergraduate law courses on 'Regulation of Digital Markets' at Pázmány Péter Catholic University and 'Platform Economy and E-commerce Law' at the LLM training of the University of Pécs.
