Dr. Mihály Barcza

Mihaly’s special field of interest is M&A and capital markets, he is an active lawyer in CEE cross-border transactions as well. He was born in Szeged, in 1970. He was the student of the József Attila University Faculty of law and received degree in 1994. After his graduation he worked for Budapest Stock Exchange and later for the BET member CO-Nexus Értékház Rt. as a jurist. He admitted post-graduate studies at Budapest University of Economics between1995 and 1997. between 1995-tõl 2003 trainee, lawyer and later partner at Réti Szegheõ and és Társai Attorneys-at-law and spent 7 month internship in London at Clifford Chance. He was the senior counsel and co-head of corporate of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (Budapest office) between 2004 and 2007. Mihaly is the founding partner of Oppenheim. Besides his activity as a lawyer, he was a listed arbitrator at the Arbitration Court organized for Money and Capital Market disputes. Between 2015 and 2017 he served as a chairman of the Supervisory Board of MKB. Between 2009 és 2020 member of the Board of Directorate of Zugliget Private Pension Fund. He was admitted to the Semmelweiss University of Medicine faculty of Medicine in 2014 and spent there for 1 semester. He is fluent in Hungarian and in English
