Daniele Fano is presently Head of Economic Research at Pioneer Global Asset Management in Milan, holding company of Pioneer Investments belonging to the UniCredit Banking Group. He has a degree in Economics at the University of Siena and an MPA at Harvard, where he was also Teaching Assistant. Daniele has been involved in Pensions since the Mid-eighties, when he contributed to setting up the innovative Montedison Fund. and, more generally, to addressing regulatory and financial issues in the retirement arena. Until 1998 he was Chief Investment Officer for Fondicri, the Fund Management Company for over 70 Italian Savings Banks. He then joined the UniCredito Italiano Asset Management Division and was actively involved in its internationalisation and product development strategy. Daniele was part of the European and American financial analysts’ working group that give birth to GIPS, the global investment perfoemance standards.
