Charles Wassen

Charles Wassen serves as General Manager of Dana Hungary Ltd. since June 2014. He is responsible for overseeing Dana’s operational activities in Győr (West Hungary). Additionally, he was promoted to Operation Director Europe for Power Technologies business units where his main responsibility is to lead operations for Europe, including all European Power Technologies plants. In recognition of his professional work Charles Wassen has been elected to the board of the Hungarian Automotive Association (Magyar Gépjárműgyártók Egyesülete). Before coming to Dana, Charles Wassen worked in several operational, engineering, sales, general management, and continuous-improvement positions at Valeo, TRW, Autoliv, Alstom, Delphi, Airbus and ArvinMeritor (Inteva). During that time, he gained strong international experience, having managed turnaround initiatives in several countries, including France, Germany, Slovakia, and Hungary. Charles earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Lycée Chevrolier University in Angers, France, and a master’s degree in production engineering from ‘Arts et Métiers ‘University in Paris, France and Aachen in Germany. He is fluent in Dutch, French, German, and English, can also speak Slovak and learns Hungarian.
