Ferenc Batonai is the Group Compliance Officer at AutoWallis Group, with over a decade of experience in compliance, internal audit, and advisory services. He began his career in 2011 at KPMG Advisory Ltd. as a member of the Internal Audit and Risk Consulting Services team, where he developed a strong foundation in internal controls. From 2015, he worked at the Budapest-based shared services center of General Electric Global Services, supporting financial reporting processes for European entities in the role of lead statutory accountant for more than four years. In 2020, he returned to the field of internal controls, continuing his professional journey as Internal Controls Coordinator at Caterpillar Hungary Ltd., where he was primarily responsible for ensuring SOX compliance and enhancing the company’s internal audit and compliance frameworks. In 2022, he joined the Hungarian Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors (BEMSZ; IIA Hungary), where he has served as a board member since May 2024. Since 2023, he has held the position of Group Compliance Officer at AutoWallis Group, working with an excellent team of colleagues to develop and strengthen the Group’s compliance program and to ensure the highest level of adherence to both internal and external regulations. He also chairs the Group Risk Management Committee.
