Alastair has more than 25 years operating and consulting experience in the field of leisure real estate, including hotels, golf resorts and other sport infrastructure. He has worked on real estate development projects in the UK and beyond, including stadiums and arenas of major football clubs and sport federations. Before joining KPMG, projects on which Alastair had a leading role included the project management of the development of the Budapest Arena, the preparation of Olympic Games pre bidding feasibility studies for Budapest and Prague, the support of the bid team for the Polish/Ukraine UEFA Euro 2012 and the advisory work in connection with the Budapest bid for the World Games. Since joining KPMG in March 2013, Alastair has led a series of stadium, arena and golf resort development related assignments, including market and financial feasibility studies and legacy plans. Alastair was part of the team supporting Hungary’s successful bid for UEFA Euro 2020. In addition, he was one of the main contributors to the Blueprint for Successful Stadium Development, a recent thought leadership report published by KPMG. Alastair has recently been appointed the Coordinator of KPMG’s Global Sports Network, overseen by KPMG’s Centre of Sports Excellence located in Budapest.
