Is the decade of crises continuing? Three and a half years after the pandemic outbreak and one and a half years after the outbreak of the war between Russia and Ukraine, there are still many question marks, risks, and difficulties in the real estate market, from the current interest rate environment to the energy use of the real estate, to which, according to optimists, we should have known the answers one or two years ago. It did not happen like that, at least not in everything. The new world order has caused serious damage to some sub-markets, but in other areas, there has been tremendous progress and development. This shift between the old and the new world is still lasting and power relations are still evolving. We may be more aware of the real damage and the concrete changes and transformations, but it will be many years (if ever) before we reach a new fixed point. Rebuilding the market and placing it on new foundations, inserting the new normal remains our task. Change should not be seen as a threat, but always as an opportunity to be seized and exploited, which is nowadays increasingly supported by fresh knowledge!
