As Prime Minister Viktor Orbán announced this morning, the number of Hungarians vaccinated has reached the 35 million mark, which means restaurant terraces can open from Saturday and the curfew will also start later. The official daily data now released show there were 3,427 new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases confirmed in Hungary yesterday, increasing the total since the pandemic started to 764,394. The death toll rose to 26,208 after the disease claimed the lives of 207, predominantly elderly or chronic, patients. The number of active cases is down to 264,039. There are currently 7,177 patients treated in hospital, including 844 on ventilators.

The number of people vaccinated is 3,508,846, and 1,490,478 of them have already received both doses. 71% of those who registered have been vaccinated. As Orbán announced this morning, more than 3.5 million Hungarians have already been vaccinated, so restaurants may open their terraces tomorrow, and the curfew will start at 11 P.M. instead of 10 P.M. The online appointment maker system is now online, offering vaccination appointments in hospitals with the Sinopharm vaccine.
