Job Description & Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly organised, analytical thinker to support the firm’s Safeguarding Officer (SO) in carrying out their responsibilities. The candidate will have a key role in ensuring the protection of client assets under the Hungary Investment Firm and Commodities Dealer Regulation prescribed by the Magyar Nemzeti Bank (“MNB”). This person will report directly to the SO.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing and analysing daily, the client fund calculation, client fund reconciliation and client financial instrument reconciliation.
- Researching the client asset impact of new products, services and markets.
- Preparing and/ or reviewing due diligence on third parties who hold client asset accounts, such as credit institutions and custodians.
- Maintaining client asset policy and procedural documentation including Client Asset Management Plan (CAMP).
- Assisting the SO in addressing regulator queries and statutory audits.
- Provide coverage in the absence of the SO.
Qualification & Skills
- University degree
- 5+ years of work experience
- Ideal candidate will have direct experience with the safeguarding of client asset at a MNB registered investment firm
