A prestigious international corporate bank is looking for ambitious candidates for the following position for its Budapest office:

HEAD OF COMPLIANCE

Responsibilities:

Support the business and monitor the implementation of the components of the Compliance Framework, the embedding of the Bank policies and standards and local laws and regulations;
Develop and communicate local policies and standards and monitor implementation;
In co-operation of Legal, keep abreast of legal, regulatory and industry developments and trends; develop or revise local policies and standards as appropriate, and provide advice to relevant stakeholders;
Monitor that the Compliance Risk Management Framework and applicable policies are implemented appropriately and that controls relate to the identified risks;
Provide advice and training concerning the interpretation and application of applicable laws and regulations, the Bank policies and standards and the Business Principles and prevention of financial & economic crime;
Work closely with Legal and the risk functions to provide an integrated approach to risk management, to identify and address cross-border implications of issues and internal events, to identify significant non-financial risks and risk mitigation actions and to share best practices and lessons learned;
Provide accurate and timely reporting to management and the higher Compliance Risk Management levels on the status of Compliance risks, policy implementation and embedding and on important Compliance risk management developments and issues;
Active involvement in Global projects (eg- FATCA, EMIR, etc).

Requirements:

Good understanding of the financial market laws, regulations in respect of compliance
Knowledge of the commercial banking environment
University degree in Legal and/or Economic Sciences
Fluency in written and spoken English
Minimum of 5 years of banking experience in the relevant fields
A team player who is able to build effective working relationship in a diversified and multicultural work environment
Strong and effective communication skills, ability to communicate all levels in the organization and externally
Excellent analytical skills as well as a keen eye for details
